  1. Saturday team

    • Assessment, mentorship, financial support
    • Weekends and/or after working hours

    You would be developing the skills of the homeless, assessing them to find out about their education and further training that is needed. You give them a mentor to encourage and help them towards their dreams. Financially we try support them but this quite expensive at times.

  2. Job placement team

    • Accommodation, training, placement
    • Weekends and during working hours

    You are part of a team that helps to find places to stay since Urban Vision is not a shelter (this is what we looking forward to do); to call companies willing to train unskilled and semi-skilled people and also find jobs to make those we help sustainable.

  3. Sunday team

    • Outreach, bible study, foundations
    • Weekend and/or after working hours

    Urban Vision is part of the Masiphane project at His People Church.  As part of discipleship we believe that Matt. 28vs20 commissions us to teach others about Jesus. You would mainly work on Sunday and do outreaches during the week if you can.

  4. Discipleship team

    • Connect groups, one on ones, servant leadership
    • Weekdays and/or after working hours

    Hebrews 10vs25 encourages us to continuously meet with each other. One on ones work best because you deal with the real issues and prevent spiritual poverty. You meet one (or more) of the homeless and have a one on one session with them.

  5. Fundraising

    • Individual donors, events, companies, government
    • Weekdays, during working hours and necessary weekends

    You are part of a team that is brought together to market our organisation since we are an NPO, we rely on financial assistance to cover our daily expenses. You will also plan events to fundraise and to also promote awareness of what we do.

  6. Development team 6

    • Recruitment, orientation, teambuilding
    • Weekend and/or after working hours

    You will be in a team aimed at building the team, keeping everyone together, motivating and also getting new members and making them feel welcomed.
